  • A payment of 50% of the total invoice should be made to secure dates, and the remaining balance should be paid 120 days prior to your arrival.
  • This deal is for up to 12 hunters for a full experience.

Accommodations

La Pampa Lodge has 3 double rooms, with a private bathroom. We have an international chef that prepares Argentine cuisine and special delicatessens for our guests. The menu is based on the game we hunt in the ranch. Among other important services for our guests, we provide Wi- Fi connection and laundry service.

 

The ranch has a private hunting area of 470 acres high fence and 5486 acres free range . La Pampa landscape is mainly flat, with soft hills and thick bushes.

Cuisine

Enjoy our gourmet and traditional cuisine every night after your shooting day. Our professional chef will delight you with amazing Argentinean and international dishes. We will have special appetizers for your drinks before dinner every night. You have to experience our special goat or lamb “a la cruz”, which is a very local and well known way to prepare this unique delicatessen. Normally, it takes more than three hours on the fire, to get it tender and with that unique taste you wont forget.

The Hunting

Pointer Outfitters wants to welcome all the hunters to have an amazing experience hunting with us. Your hunting experience will be unique and personalized by each guide, ensuring a top-quality hunting in this beautiful area.

At La Pampa Lodge you will be able to hunt the famous Red Stag. Also, you’ll be able to hunt other species like blackbuck, antelope, wild boar, water buffalo and axis deer. Management Red Stag are part of this incredible experience.

Hunting method

It usually is stalking through the bushes, one hunter – one guide (PH). Shots are usually no longer than 150 yards, except with the blackbucks, which usually seek for open areas.

Bowhunt

For bowhunters, the hunting method is different. We do waits in tree stands, blinds and water holes. In the rutting season we also stalk.

We have different species, such as Red Stag, Water Buffalo, Blackbuck Antilope, Axis Deer, Fallow Deer, European Muflon, Wild Boar, Multi Horn Ram, Feral Goat and Texas Dall Sheep.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you shoot any game that was already wounded by natural causes, trophy must be paid in full.

Gear and Equipment

Because of the huge temperature range between day and night, it’s advisable to carry warm clothes in summer as well as in winter, specifically cold weather hunting clothing. Hunting clothes should be light green, green or brown. Camouflage is the best option. 

BOOTS – Waterproof leather type with good ankle support and deep cleated soles (vibram type) suitable for Alpine hunting.

SOCKS – Warm socks for hiking in cool conditions – minimum of 4 pairs, preferably woolen type. Cotton socks for casual wear.

TROUSERS – 1 pair of warm hunting pants (camo fleece type), 1 Pair of light hunting pants for our warmer months (February, March & April). 1 pair of thermal underwear for our colder months (May, June, July & August). 2 pair of casual trousers to wear in town or in the lodge.

SHOES – 1 pair of casual shoes for town and lodge wear.

SHIRTS – 2 warm medium to heavyweight (wool or fleece). 1 lightweight shirt for warm weather. 2 casual shirts to wear in town or the lodge. 1 thermal undershirt.

JACKETS – 1 Lightweight windproof/waterproof pack able jacket in case of wet weather. 1 warm fleece or wool type jacket for cool/cold weather.

HAT – Sun hat or cap for warm weather and a woolen type beanie for cold weather.

GLOVES – Lightweight gloves for our warm months and heavyweight gloves for our colder months.

GAITERS – Optional.

BACKPACK – A small daypack suitable for carrying daytime gear (camera, sunglasses etc).

SUNGLASSES – 1 pair of sunglasses is recommended for all times of the year.

SUN BLOCK – Recommended for our warmer months.

UNDERWEAR – 2 thermal t shirts for cold conditions. 4 pair of underpants.

HEARING PROTECTION – 1 pair of ear plugs.

BINOCULARS – 1 pair of high quality binoculars in 10 x 40 class are essential.

CAMERA – 1 digital type for photos - scenic and trophies.

La Pampa lodge is located 62 miles from the city of Santa Rosa, in the province of La Pampa, Argentina, and 400 miles from Buenos Aires Capital City. 

Final destination for this hunting option is Santa Rosa city (RSA)

The best connection is through Buenos Aires (Argentina), Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE). Right now, 31 airlines operate out of Ministro Pistarini Airport. It offers nonstop flights to 51 cities. Every week, at least 126 domestic flights and 833 international flights depart from this airport.

Important airlines to be considered for international flights: American Airlines, Delta, United Airlines, Copa Airlines, Lan Airlines, Iberia, and British Airways.

Santa Rosa Airport (RSA)

Right now, only 1 airline operates out of Santa Rosa Airport: Aerolineas Argentinas.

Consider also private charters from Buenos Aires to La Pampa. We will be pleased to send you further information and budgets.

When connections are through Buenos Aires (Argentina) you arrive to Ministro Pistarini Airport in Ezeiza and you will have to change airport to Aeroparque (AEP). At least 4 hours between flights are needed, due to traffic delays. We will organize your ground transportation in Buenos Aires to make it hassle free. There are great connections to Buenos Aires from Miami, Dallas, Houston or Atlanta.

From Santa Rosa airport to the lodge it is a 1:30-hour drive.

 

The following is a sample itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Santa Rosa Airport, transfer to the lodge (1:30 hours drive), overnight stay.

Day 2: Breakfast, morning hunting, lunch, afternoon hunting, return at the lodge, cocktails/dinner and overnight stay.
