Chillen lodge is located 34 miles from the city of Santa Rosa, in the province of La Pampa, Argentina and 400 miles from Buenos Aires Capital City. The hunting method usually is stalking through the bushes, one hunter – one guide (PH).
Shoots are usually no further than 150 yards, except for the blackbucks, which usually seek for open areas.
We also welcome bowhunters. For them, the hunting method is different, and we do waits in tree stands, blinds, and water holes. During the rutting season, we also stalk.

Cuisine
The ranch has an international chef in charge of the gourmet cuisine. He prepares a great variety of exquisite meals based on game meat (deer, wild boar and so on) and the world-famous Argentinean beef. Our guests will also enjoy our traditional Argentinean dishes, especially the “asado” (barbecue). Something you wont forget.
Adding to the excelent meals based on game meat you will have the pleasure to taste the Malbec Argentino, which is the Trophy of Argentina's wines.
The Hunting
Our Hunting area is over 20,000 acres of Private land. Most of the terrain is flat lands, calden woods and soft hills.
Usually, the hunting method is stalking through the bushes, one hunter – one guide (PH). Shoots are usually no longer than 150 yards.
Bow Hunting: We also welcome bowhunters. For them, the hunting method is different: we do waits in tree stands, blinds, and water holes. And we also stalk in the rutting Season.
Species Available: Red Deer, and Wild Boar. Blackbuck, Fallow Deer, and Axis Deer are possible to be hunted here, but they are not guaranteed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you shot any game that was already wounded by natural causes, trophy must be paid in full.

Gear and Equipment
Because of the huge temperature range between day and night, it’s advisable to carry warm clothes in summer as well as in winter, specifically cold weather hunting clothing. Hunting clothes should be light green, green or brown. Camouflage is the best option.
BOOTS – Waterproof leather type with good ankle support and deep cleated soles (vibram type) suitable for Alpine hunting.
SOCKS – Warm socks for hiking in cool conditions – minimum of 4 pairs, preferably woolen type. Cotton socks for casual wear.
TROUSERS – 1 pair of warm hunting pants (camo fleece type), 1 Pair of light hunting pants for our warmer months (February, March & April). 1 pair of thermal underwear for our colder months (May, June, July & August). 2 pair of casual trousers to wear in town or in the lodge.
SHOES – 1 pair of casual shoes for town and lodge wear.
SHIRTS – 2 warm medium to heavyweight (wool or fleece). 1 lightweight shirt for warm weather. 2 casual shirts to wear in town or the lodge. 1 thermal undershirt.
JACKETS – 1 Lightweight windproof/waterproof pack able jacket in case of wet weather. 1 warm fleece or wool type jacket for cool/cold weather.
HAT – Sun hat or cap for warm weather and a woolen type beanie for cold weather.
GLOVES – Lightweight gloves for our warm months and heavyweight gloves for our colder months.
GAITERS – Optional.
BACKPACK – A small daypack suitable for carrying daytime gear (camera, sunglasses etc).
SUNGLASSES – 1 pair of sunglasses is recommended for all times of the year.
SUN BLOCK – Recommended for our warmer months.
UNDERWEAR – 2 thermal t shirts for cold conditions. 4 pair of underpants.
HEARING PROTECTION – 1 pair of ear plugs.
BINOCULARS – 1 pair of high quality binoculars in 10 x 40 class are essential.
CAMERA – 1 digital type for photos - scenic and trophies.

Santa Rosa Airport (RSA)
Right now, only 1 airline operates out of Santa Rosa Airport: Aerolineas Argentinas.
When connections are through Buenos Aires (Argentina) you arrive to Ministro Pistarini Airport in Ezeiza and you will have to change airport to Aeroparque (AEP). At least 4 hours between flights are needed, due to traffic delays. We will organize your ground transportation in Buenos Aires to make it hassle free. There are great connections to Buenos Aires from Miami, Dallas, Houston or Atlanta.
Consider also private charters from Buenos Aires to La Pampa. We will be pleased to send you further information and budgets.
From Santa Rosa airport to the lodge it is a 1-hour drive.
